Common use of Summer Unemployment Compensation Pay-Back Clause in Contracts

Summer Unemployment Compensation Pay-Back. 1. An employee of this Association who is laid off and who is paid unemployment compensation benefits, chargeable to the district during the summer immediately following the layoff, and who is subsequently recalled to a position during the next school year within two (2) calendar weeks of the beginning of the next school year, shall have his/her compensation adjusted by the gross dollar amount of the unemployment compensation benefits received for all periods and/or days during the summer recess. The adjustment will occur over the first three (3) pay periods after recall or after the district becomes aware of the unemployment compensation payments.
