Supplemental Unemployment Benefits on Maternity Leave. a. When a pregnant teacher takes the maternity leave to which she is entitled pursuant to the Employment Standards Act, the Board shall pay the teacher: i. 95% (ninety-five percent) of her current salary for the first two weeks of the leave which falls during times when school is in session; ii. the difference between 95% (ninety-five percent) of her current salary and the amount of E.I. maternity benefits received by the teacher, for a further fifteen (15) weeks provided that period falls when school is in session.
