Convocation. For the purpose of attending convocation ceremonies where a degree is being conferred on the employee or on his/her daughter, son, husband, wife, mother or father, one (1) day will be granted if the convocation is held locally during a regular work day. Should the convocation be on a regular work day but not held locally, two (2) days will be granted. If it is held out-of-town on a week-end, one (1) day will be granted. In all cases, the time off will be without loss of pay or deduction from sick leave.

Convocation. 1. Leave of absence without loss of pay will be granted for a period not exceeding one (1) day to attend a convocation at which the teacher is to receive a degree/diploma from a recognized post- secondary institution.
