Convocation. For the purpose of attending convocation ceremonies where a degree or college diploma is being conferred on the permanent employee or on his/her daughter, son, spouse, mother or father, one (1) day will be granted if the convocation is held locally during a regular work day. Should the convocation be on a regular work day but not held locally, two (2) days will be granted. If it is held out of town on a weekend, one (1) day will be granted. In all cases, the time off will be without loss of pay or deduction from sick leave credit.
