Common use of Suspension or Discharge Grievances Clause in Contracts

Suspension or Discharge Grievances. ‌ The University and the Union recognize that a suspension or discharge of an Employee is a serious matter. In the event of a dispute arising from an Employee’s suspension or discharge, the grievance will commence at Step 3 of the grievance procedure within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date on which the suspension or discharge occurred, or within fourteen (14) calendar days of the Employee receiving notice of such suspension or discharge.
