Common use of Tardiness Clause in Contracts

Tardiness. While a tardiness of any kind is not desirable, a tardiness which may result in a group of students being unsupervised is considered very serious. .1 A tardiness which will prevent a teacher from fulfilling an assigned responsibility must be reported to the building principal as soon as practical after it is known that such late arrival will occur. .2 The following rules will apply to cases of tardiness: .21 First occurrence - a reminder .22 Second occurrence - verbal warning .23 Third occurrence - written warning .24 Fourth occurrence - pay deduction .3 In cases where a pay deduction is enacted, such deduction shall be to the nearest quarter hour missed.
