Teacher-Initiated Transfers. A. All bargaining unit positions that the Board decides to fill shall be posted on the District’s website for a period of five (5) calendar days (excluding weekends and holidays). The Board will also simultaneously send an email to all bargaining unit members informing them of the posting. If the Board elects not to fill a position, it shall notify the Association President within thirty (30) days of the vacancy occurring. B. Vacancies will be filled on the basis of certification/licensure and qualifications. The Board will interview all internal applicants for a vacancy and will notify unsuccessful internal candidates why they were not selected for a specific vacancy. C. During the summer, the Board will send an electronic alert/notice to all bargaining unit members when it posts vacant bargaining unit positions on the District’s web site.
