Common use of Temporary Assignment to Investigator Duty Clause in Contracts

Temporary Assignment to Investigator Duty. Whenever the Chief of Police determines the necessity for temporarily assigning a Patrol Officer to Investigator duty in plain clothes in the Auburn Police Department and such duty is to exceed six (6) months, the position is to be filled in the same manner as prescribed for the position of Detective pursuant to Section 3 above, except that the selection is to be made from the first seven (7) names appearing on the Sergeants list. This section is applicable to assignments that are initially made after the date of the Arbitration Award establishing this Section.
