Common use of Tenure or Promotion Review and Recommendation Procedures Clause in Contracts

Tenure or Promotion Review and Recommendation Procedures. Recommendations for the awarding of tenure or promotion shall proceed through the following levels of review: eligible department faculty, department chair, college Tenure and Promotion Committee, xxxx (or director in the case of the Florida Museum of Natural History), and the University Academic Personnel Board, and President or designee. At all levels the participants shall be provided with the University criteria, clarifications of the criteria by the College, and departmental discipline- specific clarifications of the criteria. Recommendations by the President or designee to grant tenure shall be forwarded to the Board of Trustees for final decision. All recommendations in this process, along with any candidate responses to those recommendations, shall be included in the dossier prior to the dossier being forwarded to the next review step.
