Sabbatical Eligibility. 21.7.1 Tenured faculty are eligible to apply for Sabbaticals if they have: 21.7.1.1 Served as Probationary or Tenured faculty for a minimum of 6 years since joining the University 21.7.1.2 Served as Tenured faculty for a minimum of 6 years since their last full-year Sabbatical, or 21.7.1.3 Served as Tenured faculty for a minimum of 3 years since their last half-year Sabbatical. 21.7.2 Sessional, Teaching-Intensive Stream, CLTA, Continuing and Probationary faculty are not eligible for Sabbaticals. However, years served as Probationary faculty and/or years credited towards Sabbatical at the point of hire are included as part of the Sabbatical qualifying period for Tenured faculty. 21.7.3 Leaves are not included as part of the Sabbatical qualifying period.

(3) Employees must work at least five full academic years (i.e., a fall semester followed by a spring semester) or the equivalent before they are eligible to submit a sabbatical application. (4) Full-time employees shall be eligible to apply for their next sabbatical during the fifth year of continuous service at UCF after the end of the academic year during which the previous sabbatical, professional development leave, or administrative professional development leave was taken. (For example, a tenured employee who takes a sabbatical in the 2023-24 academic year and is continuously employed may submit another sabbatical application in the 2029-30 academic year for a sabbatical that would take place in the 2030- 31 academic year.) (5) No paid or unpaid family and medical, parental, administrative, military, or other authorized leave (s) shall be considered a break in continuous employment.
Sabbatical Eligibility. 1 to 4 years of consecutive service: not eligible for sabbatical. • 5 years of consecutive service: eligible for a 1-term sabbatical in the 6th year or thereafter, with a one year of required return of service to the College. • 6 years of consecutive service: eligible for up to 2 terms sabbatical in the 7th year or thereafter, with a two years of required return of service to the College. • 7 years of consecutive service: eligible for an academic year sabbatical in the 8th year or thereafter, with a three years required return of service to the College. • Faculty on sabbatical will be compensated up to 100% of their annual salary. For sabbaticals shorter than three terms, the member’s salary will be divided by 3 and multiplied by the number of terms of sabbatical. • Notwithstanding the above, faculty members are eligible for subsequent sabbaticals only when they have repaid all of the required academic years of service.

(3) An employee who is compensated through a contract or grant may receive a sabbatical only if the contract or grant allows a sabbatical and the employee meets all other eligibility requirements. (4) Employees shall be notified annually regarding eligibility requirements and application deadlines.

  • Overtime Eligibility An Employee must work at least fifteen (15) minutes beyond her normal shift before being eligible for overtime compensation.

  • Holiday Eligibility Except as otherwise provided in this Article, an employee must be in paid status on the working day immediately preceding or succeeding the holiday to be paid for the holiday.

  • Employee Eligibility For purposes of this section, “eligible employee” shall be defined by the Public Employees’ Medical and Hospital Care Act.

  • Employee Eligibility Verification The Contractor warrants that it fully complies with all Federal and State statutes and regulations regarding the employment of aliens and others and that all its employees performing work under this Contract meet the citizenship or alien status requirement set forth in Federal statutes and regulations. The Contractor shall obtain, from all employees performing work hereunder, all verification and other documentation of employment eligibility status required by Federal or State statutes and regulations including, but not limited to, the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, 8 U.S.C. §1324 et seq., as they currently exist and as they may be hereafter amended. The Contractor shall retain all such documentation for all covered employees for the period prescribed by the law. The Contractor shall indemnify, defend with counsel approved in writing by County, and hold harmless, the County, its agents, officers, and employees from employer sanctions and any other liability which may be assessed against the Contractor or the County or both in connection with any alleged violation of any Federal or State statutes or regulations pertaining to the eligibility for employment of any persons performing work under this Contract.

  • General Eligibility i. Except as provided in paragraph 2 (a)(ii) below, a teacher who received an evaluation rating of needs improvement or ineffective in the prior school year is not eligible for any salary increase and remains at their prior year salary. ii.
