Termination During Initial Probationary Period. Members shall be given sufficient time to demonstrate their abilities and may be terminated without cause, during the initial twelve (12) month probationary period as a Police Officer. At least once during each six (6) months of the initial probationary period, the Chief or his designee shall inform the member as to his/her progress and advise him/her as to how he/she can improve his/her work performance.
