Common use of Termination of Employment – Abandonment Clause in Contracts

Termination of Employment – Abandonment. An Employee absent from work without approval and without contact with the Company (their supervisor or manager) for a period exceeding 3 or more days will be regarded as, prima facie, having abandoned their employment. In such circumstances the Company will send a registered letter to the Employees nominated address. If, subsequent to mailing the letter, no contact is made by the Employee to the Company within 14 days of their last worked day, their employment will be deemed to be terminated at the employee’s initiation.
