Thermocouples. A single thermocouple will monitor and execute control of the temperature along the heated length of the tube. The temperature will be taken outside the tube, in the insulated heating cavity. The thermocouples will also be placed through the discharge cowling to monitor the internal gas temperature. Again, this will be alarmed to indicate combustion and run-away temperatures. If the client wants the kiln to have 3 independent heating zones, this must be specified, and the proposal will be adjusted accordingly.
Thermocouples. Turbine temperatures are measured by thermocouples. The thermocouples are installed in special protecting tubes that penetrate the cylinder wall and are welded to the cylinder. The HP/IP cylinder is manufactured with thermocouple xxxxx installed at standard locations on the turbine based on turbine temperature monitoring needs.
Thermocouples. 1.7.1. Seven thermocouples (Tc) shall be mounted on the exhaust manifold mock-up, drilled 2 mm into the tube from the outside. Thermocouples Tc1 to Tc4 shall be located on top of the mock-up at the distances from the mock-up inlet according to Table 4. Thermocouples Tc5 to Tc7 shall be located around the mock-up at the same distance from the inlet as Tc2. The location of the thermocouples is illustrated in Figures 5 and 6. Thermocouples. A thermocouple is an electrical device consisting of two different conductors forming an electrical junctions. A thermocouple produces a temperature-dependent voltage as a result of the thermoelectric effect, and this voltage can be interpreted to measure temperature. In contrast to the pyrometer, thermocouples must be in contact with (or very close to) the object for which the temperature is going to be measured. Thermocouples can typically measure within certain temperature ranges for maximum accuracy. At elevated temperatures, the presence of oxygen or other reactive gases will severely limit the application of exposed TC`s due to chemical reactions with the thermocouple wires. The practical temperature range of standard thermocouples is 0 to 2100 Xxxxxx. For high-temperature applications, type B can measure temperatures up to 1820 °C. The choice of thermocouple for a given application is based on temperature range of interest, accuracy needed, atmosphere and cost. For the given problem, the thermocouple method has the advantage of being able to measure the temperature of the refractory directly, which is the preferred setup.
