- Time Limits, Waiver and Automatic Advancement. The time limits established in this article may be extended by mutual written agreement between the Employer and the Union. If a grievance is not presented within the specified time limits, it shall be considered waived. If a grievance is not appealed to the next step within the specified time limits, it shall be considered resolved on the basis of the last answer provided and there shall be no further appeal or review. In the event the Employer does not respond within the specified time limits, the grievance may advance, at the Union's request, to the next step.
