Common use of Topsoil Clause in Contracts

Topsoil. The Subdivider agrees to stockpile on site, in a safe manner, the topsoil removed from all areas excavated and graded. The topsoil from the stripped areas shall be used to cover areas to be seeded or sodded to a minimum depth of 15.24 cm (6”) and shall not be removed from the site until such time as all seeding or sodding has been completed. Any excess of topsoil may be removed but only after the Subdivider has received the approval by the County. All building lots are to be topsoiled and sodded unless otherwise approved by the County. Common areas, are also to be sodded unless with the County’s written consent topsoil and seeding is permitted.
