Trace Metals Sample Clauses

Trace Metals. Sodium is the only trace metal contaminant normally found in natural gas. The source of sodium in natural gas is normally salt water. Limits on trace metals are established to prevent the formation of corrosive deposits on hot gas path components. These deposits can be detrimental to gas turbine performance. In addition to sodium, additionally harmful trace metal contaminants can be found in gasification and process gases. Limits on these contaminants will be determined by GE on a case by case basis.

Trace Metals. The gas will not contain total trace metals (including sodium, potassium, calcium, lead, vanadium, aluminium, copper, mercury etc.) in concentration greater than two parts per million by weight (2mg/kg).
Trace Metals. Xxxx Xxxxxxx presented an introduction to the world of trace metals, elements of natural or anthropogenic origin which are present in the environment at very low concentrations. At specific concentrations, some trace metals (e.g. zinc, copper, iron) are essential for the life of organisms, but become toxic if their concentrations deviate from optimal conditions. Other trace metals, such as mercury, cadmium, lead or arsenic are toxic at any concentration, and present a threat to the health of aquatic organisms. In any case, the bioavailability of the trace metals is governed by their speciation. The potentially most bioavailable are the so called “dynamic metal species” which include the free metal ions and small complexes which could be easily uptaken by the organism. Aquatic systems are very dynamic, so that trace metal speciation can change continuously in space and time. This is how Xxxx Xxxxxxx presented the need of higher spatial and temporal resolution monitoring devices (such as those being developed in the SCHeMA Project) in order to better understand the environmental distribution and biogeochemical processes of these trace metals and their speciation. Moreover, he showed the challenge that this project has in developing probes which are able to measure with high quality trace metals in all kinds of aquatic environments (in which different turbidity, salinity, redox and fouling conditions are encountered).
Trace Metals. (Mass Flow) High Volume Sampler (Lid Open). 4.2.4 SAMPLE UNLOADING PROCEDURES: AT THE SAMPLE HANDLING AREA Once back in the sample handling area, the filter must be removed from the cassette and properly packaged and stored until it is picked up for return to CARE and subsequent analysis. This procedure requires the utmost care in handling the filter. A clean lab coat must be worn at all times. a) Place the transfer case next to the Laminar Flow chamber. Open chamber and turn on the fan. The fan should run for several minutes before sample unloading so any particles that may have settled in the chamber are blown out. b) Put on a clean pair of poly gloves. Remove cassette from transfer case and remove from bag. Place it in the chamber. c) Label a clean ziplock bag with the date, station and sample identification number. d) Remove and discard gloves. Put on a clean pair. e) Undo the brass screws and remove the upper section of the cassette, including the cover plate, being careful not to touch the filter. Set these aside. f) Using forceps that have been cleaned with deionized water and dried using Kimwipes, remove the filter and place inside the labelled ziplock bag. Do not touch the dark, exposed area and do not fold this filter as it must be cut in a frame by the laboratory technicians. Store the filters in the bubble pack envelopes for shipping to CARE. These filters need not be refrigerated.

  • Raw Materials A. Catalent shall procure Raw Materials only from vendors that are approved in writing by Palatin or otherwise qualified in accordance with the provisions of the Quality Agreement. Catalent shall be responsible for procuring Raw Materials as necessary to meet the Firm Commitment. Catalent shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of Product if (i) Catalent is unable to obtain, in a timely manner, a particular Raw Material necessary for Processing and (ii) Catalent placed orders for such Raw Materials promptly following receipt of Palatin’s Firm Commitment. In the event that any Raw Material becomes subject to purchase lead time beyond the Firm Commitment time frame, the parties will negotiate in good faith an appropriate amendment to this Agreement, including Clause 4.2. B. In certain instances, Palatin may require a specific supplier, manufacturer or vendor (“Vendor”) to be used for Raw Material. In such an event, (i) such Vendor will be identified in the Specifications and (ii) the Raw Materials from such Vendor shall be deemed Palatin-supplied Materials for purposes of this Agreement. If the cost of the Raw Material from any such Vendor (other than a Vendor specified in the Specifications as of the Effective Date) is greater than Catalent’s costs for the same raw material of equal quality from other vendors, Catalent shall add the difference between Catalent’s cost of the Raw Material and the Vendor’s cost of the Raw Material to the Unit Pricing. Palatin will be responsible for all reasonable, out-of-pocket costs incurred by Catalent associated with qualification of any such Vendor who has not been previously qualified by Catalent. C. In the event of (i) a Specification change for any reason, (ii) obsolescence of any Raw Material or (iii) termination or expiry of this Agreement, Palatin shall bear the cost of any unused Raw Materials (including packaging), so long as Catalent (a) purchased such Raw Materials in quantities consistent with Palatin’s then current Firm Commitment and any minimum purchase obligations required by the vendor and (b) used commercially reasonable efforts to mitigate such costs by using any such unused Raw Materials in the manufacture of other products.
