Traffic Calming. Will ActiveWayz be able to provide traffic calming measure as part of the project?
Traffic Calming. This development may be required to accommodate traffic calming devices which may include any or all of the following: median islands, chicanes, lay-bys, bump-outs, speed humps or other similar devices as determined by the Town of Ajax. The location of these devices will directly affect the on-street parking supply and driveway access in the vicinity of these devices. The decision to provide for traffic calming shall be at the sole discretion of the Town of Ajax.
Traffic Calming. Developer shall contribute to City the sum of $100,000.00 for the purpose of funding future traffic calming projects in neighborhoods adjacent to the Project within ten (10) days after the issuance of building permits for the Improvements.

Traffic Calming. Petitioner shall design and construct all public roads, and design, construct, and maintain all private roads, to use traffic calming features and techniques such as roundabouts, chicanes, medians, and visually constricting lane markings to reduce vehicular travel in excess of maximum posted speed limits. All traffic calming devices shall be subject to prior approval by the Planning Commission.
Traffic Calming. The Developer shall fund the implementation of bulb outs, speed humps, and stop signs, as determined by the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, to further traffic calming in the community. As part of the Developers Annual Reporting Obligations, the Developer shall submit evidence of its efforts to fund or implement traffic calming improvements on streets mentioned above. Evidence shall be provided in the form of before/after pictures and any permits as issued from the Department of Public Works and/or the Department of Transportation.
Traffic Calming. The Developer shall provide up to two traffic calming features, such as radar speed box(es) or speedtable(s) in the vicinity of the project in consultation with the Public Works Department. The total cost to the Developer for traffic calming measures shall not exceed $15,000. Final determination of method(s) and placement(s) of potential traffic calming measures shall be subject to review and approval of the Public Works Director and/or City Engineer.
Traffic Calming. Urbanized sections shall be designed to be distinctly recognizable by drivers. Visual traffic calming shall be implemented through built-up areas and their peripheries. The beginning of built-up areas shall have an information sign displaying the name of the city, town or village. This should be reinforced by other measures, engineering or non-engineering, to highlight the start of a change in the nature of the road. Where there are frequent pedestrians or slow vehicles travelling along or crossing the road, consideration shall be given to physical traffic calming measures including vertical speed reduction facilities. Physical measures shall only be provided where traffic speeds have been reduced to appropriate levels. The measures shall be acceptable to all road-users with adequate signing and delineation. Non-engineering measures shall be encouraged to reinforce the image of built-up areas in conjunction with streetscape design. Such measures may include trees, landscaping, lighting, benches, decorations etc. Adequate considerations should also be given to passive safety. Non-engineering measures shall also be encouraged along the periphery of built-up areas to provide a transition for high speed traffic approaching built-up areas. Such measures may include a subtle change of plantings and roadside features.
