Transfer of Credits. a. When an employee is reemployed by the University within 100 days, the full balance of accrued sick leave shall accompany the employee unless the employee has received a lump sum payment for accrued sick leave. If an employee has received such a lump sum payment, the employee may elect in writing, upon re-employment, to restore the employee's accrued sick leave. Such restoration will be effective upon repayment of the full lump sum leave payment. b. When an employee moves to a position in state government, the transfer of unused sick leave from the University shall be governed by the rules of the plan to which the employee is transferring. c. The transfer of unused sick leave from a local government to a university position is not permitted unless a reciprocal agreement in writing between the University and the previous employing entity is in effect.
