Transfer of Vacation. Leave Above 275 Hours for Employees Transferred Under the Provisions of M.S. 480.181. If any court employee transfers to state employment under the provisions of M.S. 480.181 with vacation hours in excess of 275 hours, they shall be credited with the full amount once verified, but shall be required to use the excess vacation hours over the course of one year from the date of employment, or all hours in excess of 275 shall be lost. Employees whose leave balances are maintained as paid time off (PTO) may elect to transfer the balance of the hours verified by the county on the basis of crediting up to 60% into vacation leave and the remainder into their sick leave balance.
