Common use of Travel and Accommodation Clause in Contracts

Travel and Accommodation. (a) Subject to Section 16:03, each teacher shall be responsible for providing transportation between his/her place of residence and his/her base school on school days. (b) In the event that a teacher is required to travel from his/her residence, in the performance of Employer approved duties or Employer approved and/or sponsored curricular or extra-curricular activities, on a day other than a school day, the teacher shall be paid a travel allowance according to 16:02 (b). (c) Notwithstanding (a) and (b) of this subsection, a teacher who is seconded to work days which are not school days shall: 1. be responsible for providing transportation from the teacher's place of residence to the teacher's place of work on days the offices of the seconding body are open for business; and, 2. be paid a travel allowance according to 16:02
