Common use of Travel Status Clause in Contracts

Travel Status. An employee shall be considered in travel status from the time an authorized trip begins until it ends. For purposes of interpretation, travel status will begin and end when the employee leaves and returns to his/her immediate work station if the travel begins and ends during assigned business hours, or when the employee leaves and returns to his/her home if travel begins and ends outside assigned working hours. An employee is not in travel status for local travel and or “day trips.”
