Common use of Trial Period on Promotion or Transfer Clause in Contracts

Trial Period on Promotion or Transfer. (a) Regular Employees who are promoted or transferred to a new position shall be required to serve a three (3) month trial period. If during this period the Employer finds that the Employee is unable to perform the duties of his/her job in a satisfactory manner, the Employee shall be returned to his/her former position and pay grade without loss of seniority. Any other Employees promoted or transferred because of the rearrangement of positions shall also be returned to their former positions and pay grades without loss of seniority.
