Uncompensated Leave of Absence. A pregnant unit member who wishes to be absent from the position before she is disabled from pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth or recovery from these, or beyond the termination of such disability, or both, may request such leave of absence in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement applicable to uncompensated leaves, subject to the following exceptions:
