UNIFORMS AND MILEAGE. 19.01 The employer shall provide a one hundred fifty dollar ($200) a year uniform allowance for each employee. Employees will be allowed to use this allowance to purchase work shoes providing uniforms are in acceptable condition as determined by the principal. Shirts will be purchased from a source specified by the District, but the employee may select the source from which the dark blue trousers will be obtained. When a uniform is issued to an employee who does not stay in the employment of the school district for one (1) year, the cost of the uniform shall be deducted from the employee's paycheck. Substitute custodians shall be provided one district custodial t-shirt. All claims for uniform allowance must be in the business office prior to June 1 of the year in which the claim is being requested.
