Unit Based Staffing Committees. There shall be a unit-based staffing committee on each nursing unit and work group. The Union and Employer agree that they shall jointly prioritize the establishment and/or re- establishment of unit-based committees where active committees no longer exist. As the sole committee at the unit level with a focus on staffing effectiveness, the unit-based committees are responsible for creating and implementing a staffing plan for the unit. The decisions of the unit based committee will be made utilizing a collaborative, evidence, consensus based process.
