Common use of Unpaid Hiatus Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Hiatus. The Engager has the right to negotiate for up to one (1) week without remuneration during any official school break during the school year, provided that the engagement consists of not less than eight (8) paid-for weeks, and provided that there are no fewer than two (2) engagement weeks prior to and no fewer than one (1) engagement week subsequent to the hiatus.
