Unplanned Overtime Work Procedures. In the case of unplanned overtime, notice will be provided as far in advance as possible. The EMPLOYER will first ask for volunteers who are on duty, and will select the number of needed employees by seniority on a rotating basis. If an employee is to work overtime involuntarily, rotating inverse seniority will be used. Personal needs exceptions will be considered on an equitable basis. The EMPLOYER will determine whether an employee is qualified to perform the work.
