Common use of Unused compensatory leave Clause in Contracts

Unused compensatory leave. (a) Subject to clause 39.06, the Employer may permit an employee to use his or her compensatory leave not taken as of March 31st, during the first six (6) months of the following fiscal year. A written request will be considered if submitted prior to March 15th and indicating when the employee intends to use his or her leave. (b) Compensatory leave earned in a fiscal year and outstanding on September 30 of the following fiscal year shall be paid at the employee’s daily rate of pay on September 30.
