Vacancies and Job Openings - Salaried Employees. It is the objective of the parties to provide a procedure for the notification of non-teaching salaried employees of the existence of vacancies. For the purpose of this provision, a vacancy is defined as a position which is unoccupied and is to be filled by the Employer when all other employees have assigned positions and there is no employee who has claim to return to the position from leave of absence or layoff. The following guidelines shall be observed, namely: 1. All permanent vacancies shall be posted for six (6) days at all AAESA work sites and made available at all AAESA locations. 2. If a vacancy occurs during the work year, the Employer may temporarily fill the position for the remainder of the work year in order to minimize any disruption.
