Vacation Request. (a) Except as otherwise provided in the Agreement, vacation leave entitlement shall be used during the year in which it is earned.
(b) The employee shall advise the Employer in writing of her vacation preference before February 1 of each year and the Employer will endeavor to approve these requests by March 15 of each year.
Vacation Request. Vacation request sheets will be posted annually from January 1 to March 1 for employees desiring vacation during the period April 15 to December 31.
Vacation Request. An employee may submit a written request for a vacation period at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the start of her/his vacation period. The employee’s immediate supervisor shall have ten (10) working days to either grant or deny the requested vacation period in writing. If the supervisor fails to respond in writing to the employee’s request within ten (10) working days from the date the request is submitted to her/him, the employee shall be entitled to take the vacation at the requested period. Any vacation period granted by the supervisor cannot be rescinded or changed. If the supervisor denies the employee’s requested vacation period in writing within the ten (10) working day period, the employee may request another vacation period.
Vacation Request. Employees will submit their vacation time request by February 15 of the current year to be granted according to seniority. After this date, the request will be granted as per the first request received. All requests should be dated as of the date it is submitted to the Sheriff or their representative. Consideration of employee preference shall be given when possible and practical. Employees will be notified within ten (10) days after requesting their vacation if it is approved or not. Employees submitting their requests before February 15 for later in the year will have to wait until February 15 for an answer due to the seniority status in effect until that time. After February 15 when an employee requests vacation time he will be notified within ten (10) days after requesting their vacation if it is approved or not.
Vacation Request. 10.4.1 The request of the employee will be considered according to his/her seniority in each work location. All vacations are subject to approval by the immediate supervisor or designee who may if operational needs necessitate, modify such requests based upon the operational needs of the District.
10.4.2 Employee must give reasonable notice for vacation and within a reasonable time of submitting vacation request they will be informed as to whether it has been approved or denied.
Vacation Request. Deadlines
(1) November 1st for the period January 1st through April 30th; and
(2) March 1st for the period May 1st through December 31st.
Vacation Request. In order to exercise seniority for choice of vacation dates, an employee shall advise the Employer in writing of her vacation preference for the upcoming vacation year before February 15 of each year and the Employer will respond in writing by March 15 of each year indicating whether or not the employee’s vacation request is authorized.
Vacation Request. The specific time to be taken by a unit member for vacation purposes shall be requested by the unit member in advance and shall be authorized by the immediate supervisor if the number of unit members absent any given time does not interfere unduly with the workflow. In the event that two (2) or more unit members request vacations for an identical period of time, the unit member with the greatest seniority shall receive priority consideration. In the case that a vacation is denied, the unit member has the right to appeal to the Associate Superintendent.
Vacation Request. To the Members of the Staff: Full-time school employees, including full-time hourly rated and per diem employees, after completing service during a period as below enumerated, shall be granted vacations with pay as follows: Years of Service Weeks of Vacation 1 - 8 inclusive 2 annually After 8 - 12 3 annually After 12 or more 4 annually All vacation days should be used during a calendar year (January 1 - December 31). Except as provided in the negotiated Agreement(s), vacation shall not be cumulative and shall be arranged in such a manner that no substitute shall be required. The appropriate time for the vacations should reflect consideration for both the operation of the school or department and the needs of the personnel submitting the request. Vacation Request. Vacation shall begin accruing on the first day of employment. Upon completion of six months of employment, the nurse shall be able to take all earned and/or accrued vacation in eight (8) hour increments of time or as agreed upon between the nurse and the Hospital.
