Vacation Prime Time. Prime time is defined as June 1 through Labor Day, Thanksgiving week, and Spring Break and Christmas Break, as defined by the Anchorage School District. Requests for Vacation Time should be submitted and approved by the following dates: Prime Time Date Submission Deadline Approval Deadline June 1 through Labor Day February 28 April 15 Thanksgiving Week August 15 September 15 Spring Break 12 Weeks Prior to Start 8 Weeks Prior to Start Christmas Break August 15 September 15 Written requests for up to two (2) consecutive weeks of prime time vacation received by the submission deadline will be approved based on the following order: number of requests by date of time off, vacation time granted during the same prime time period in previous years, nurses with accrued Vacation Time to cover the time requested off, mutual consent to change dates between the nurse and Department Director/Manager and finally bargaining unit seniority. Nurses who request vacation time shall have scheduling priority over nurses who request time off without pay. Requests for prime time vacation submitted after the deadline, but before the schedule is posted, will be considered by the manager and approved on a first come first serve basis. Vacation time submitted after the deadline and/or requests for additional vacation, including a third (3rd) consecutive week, may be granted on an equitable and rotating basis if there are no other competing requests and staffing permits.

Vacation Prime Time. Prime Time will be defined from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Requests for prime time vacation submitted by March 1, will be approved on a seniority basis. The vacation schedule will be posted by April 1. Requests for prime time leave submitted after March 1, will be granted on a first-come first-served basis. Vacation will be scheduled in such a manner as to provide adequate core staffing per unit and shift. A nurse may utilize her/his seniority to procure up to five (5) weeks of prime time vacation in a year. However, a nurse who utilizes her/his seniority during any year to procure more than three weeks of prime time vacation will only be allowed to use her/his seniority in the next year to procure up to three (3) weeks of prime time vacation. At least 2 nurses per shift, per unit, shall be allowed to take vacation at the same time, if there are available replacements.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation.   • VACATION PLAN 2 All employees in the bargaining unit shall earn paid vacation time 3 under this Article. Vacation benefits are earned on a fiscal year 4 basis--July 1 to June 30.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs.   • Accrued Vacation It is further agreed by the parties hereto that, upon sale or transfer of ownership of any store or upon dissolution of business, vacation pay for all months worked for which no vacation pay has been given shall be immediately paid to all employees coming under this Agreement, regardless of length of time said employee has been with the Employer.

  • Sick Leave While on Vacation An employee who while on vacation is incapacitated for one (1) or more days due to personal illness or injury may charge such days to accrued sick leave. In such event, the employee promptly shall notify his department, and upon return to duty shall substantiate the need for, and use of, sick leave.

  • Time Off The company recognises that sufficient time off to attend to personal matters and for recreation are important to the employee’s wellbeing, job satisfaction and overall productivity. Accordingly, time off may be taken with the consent of the Company, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. In considering the approval to have time off, the Parties will have regard to the current works programme and the urgency of the reason for time off. In the event that time off is to be taken, it will be the employee’s obligation to advise the Company in advance or as soon as practicable on the day of absence, recognising that unplanned absences can cause costly disruption to programmed works and are a major source of annoyance for the company, other employees and clients. The object of offering flexible working hours is that in return employees will take very seriously their obligation to turn up when they are expected. In view of the disruption caused by unplanned and or notified absenteeism, repeated failure to observe the protocol for time off would constitute misconduct.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:
