- Verbal Grievances. (a) In the event that a dispute arises between the Employer and an employee, every effort shall be made to resolve the dispute through discussion between the Employer and employee. An employee may elect to process a grievance through traditional Aboriginal methods of conflict resolution or through the grievance procedure. The aggrieved employee shall have the right to have his or her xxxxxxx present at such a discussion. (b) When a grievance is to be addressed through an Aboriginal method, the Employer, Union and employee must agree to the approach. If the Aboriginal method is selected, the parties agree that the employee will not have the option of choosing the other method of grievance procedure. (c) When the grievance procedure is selected, an employee shall have the right to have a xxxxxxx present at such discussions.
