Violence in the Workplace. The Employer and the Union agree that violence against employees in the workplace is not desirable and agree to work in concert to reduce the incidence and causal factors of violence. To that end, the following shall apply: a) Definition of Violence Violence shall be defined as the attempted, threatened or actual conduct of a person that causes or is likely to cause injury and includes any threatening statement or behaviour that gives an employee reasonable cause to believe that they are at risk of injury during the course of his/her employment.
