Volunteer Teacher Participants (VTP). 14 1. A permanent unit member who seeks to improve 15 his/her teaching performance may request the PAR committee to assign a 16 consulting teacher to provide peer assistance. It is understood that the 17 purpose of such participation is to provide peer assistance, and that the 18 consulting teacher will play no role in the evaluation of the teaching 19 performance of a volunteer teacher participant. The VTP may terminate 20 his/her participation in the PAR program at any time without a requirement 21 to give a reason for said request. All communication and documentation 22 between the Consulting Teacher and the VTP shall be confidential and, 23 without the consent of the VTP, will not be shared with others including the 24 site principal and/or evaluator. Any documentation produced while the 25 teacher is a VTP shall be the property of the Volunteer Participating 26 Teacher.

  • Non-Vested Retirement Gratuity for Teachers 1. The minimum years of service for retirement gratuity shall be defined as the lesser of the contractual minimal service requirement in the 2008-2012 collective agreement, or ten (10) years.

  • Maintaining Eligibility for Employer Contribution The employer's contribution continues as long as the employee remains on the payroll in an insurance eligible position. Employees who complete their regular school year assignment shall receive coverage through August 31.
