Continuity of Service definition

Continuity of Service means that the service of the Doctor is treated as unbroken and that the cap on the transfer of personal leave at subclause 49.4 does not apply. However, continuity of service is not broken where a Health Service pays out accrued annual leave or long service leave upon termination in accordance with this Agreement.
Continuity of Service means employment with the District which is not interrupted as a result of the following:
Continuity of Service means the period for which an employee has performed duty including approved periods of paid leave and periods of unpaid leave which have been specified as counting as service for all purposes. It does not include unauthorised absences;

More Definitions of Continuity of Service

Continuity of Service means a period of uninterrupted employment inclusive of relevant approved paid leave. Approved leave without salary does not affect continuity of service.However, it is not recognised in the determination of length of service for periods greater than 1 month.In the case of fixed term appointments other than those staff members identified in Schedule 4, breaks between fixed term appointments of up to two times per year and up to six weeks shall not constitute breaks in continuous service.In the case of fixed term appointments for those staff members identified in Schedule 4, breaks between fixed term appointments of no more than two breaks of service not exceeding six weeks duration and/or breaks of service not exceeding 12 weeks in any calendar year shall not constitute breaks in continuous service.
Continuity of Service. Except as specified elsewhere in this agreement, the Secretary or delegated nominee may recognise service with other departments of the Public Service, DHB (where the work undertaken falls within the coverage clause of this Agreement) and teaching service as continuous service, provided that the employee joined the Ministry within one month of leaving the service of the other organisation.

Continuity of Service means service with the Employer until it is broken by (i) the occurrence of an employee’s death or retirement, or (ii) a quit or discharge unless the employee is rehired before the end of the month in which the quit or discharge occurs, or (iii) expiration of the employee’s recall rights under the Basic Agreement. In no case will a Transition be considered a break in Continuity of Service.
Continuity of Service shall have the meaning set forth in Section 13(c) of the Lease.
