Volunteers and Special Programs. The volunteer’s role in the facilities is to provide services to patients that may not otherwise be offered. The Employer agrees that programs such as volunteer programs and summer youth programs shall not be utilized to displace bargaining unit employees or to fill positions previously occupied by bargaining unit employees, nor shall they be used to reduce their hours of work. The Employer shall notify the Union upon commencement of volunteer programs and summer youth programs of the number of participants, their classification, work location, hours of work per week, and the duration of the program.
