– WAIVER OF HEALTHCARE COVERAGE. Employees electing not to participate in the health insurance program, Section 29.1 Healthcare Coverage, will be eligible to receive a per month credit in lieu of receiving such coverage. Effective July 1, 2011, the credit in lieu of health insurance will be increased to $250.00 per month. Payment will be made annually during the month of December for credit earned that year. In the event both a husband and wife work for the City, the Employer will automatically waive the lower-seniority employee unless requested differently by the employee. Dual City couples will be eligible to receive $100.00 per month payment credit in lieu of receiving such coverage.
