Common use of WCB Top Up Clause in Contracts

WCB Top Up. ‌ Where an employee is absent from work for medical reasons due to an accident, and is eligible for income replacement pursuant to The Worker’s Compensation Act, 1979, the Board shall continue to pay the employee full wages for a maximum of one (1) year per claim and the employee shall accrue seniority for a maximum of one year. Worker’s Compensation income replacement will be paid directly to the Board for 12 month employees and directly to the Board for 10 month employees during the employee’s work schedule and payment shall be made by Worker’s Compensation directly to the employee during the scheduled school breaks.
