  • Competency Competency involves application of knowledge and skills to a limited range of tasks and roles. There is a specific range of contexts where the choice of actions is clear. The competencies are normally used within established routines, methods and procedures that are predictable. Judgments against established criteria may also be required.

  • Cultural Competency 1. All program staff shall receive at least one (1) in-service training per year on some aspect of providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services. At least once per year and upon request, Contractor shall provide County with a schedule of in-service training(s) and a list of participants at each such training.

  • Incompetency Any benefit payable to or for the benefit of the Executive, if legally incompetent, or incapable of giving a receipt therefor, shall be deemed paid when paid to the Executive's guardian or to the party providing or reasonably appearing to provide for the care of such person, and such payment shall fully discharge the Company.

  • Cultural Competence A. The CONTRACTOR shall participate in the State's efforts to promote the delivery of services in a culturally competent manner to all beneficiaries, including those with limited English proficiency and diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, disabilities, and regardless of gender, sexual orientation or gender identity. (42 C.F.R. § 438.206(c)(2).)

  • Orientation The Employer shall provide planned and paid Orientation Programs of such content and duration as it deems appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Employer and the Nurses involved. Such Nurses will not be considered part of core staffing during their Orientation Program nor will they be provided with primary assignments.

  • School discipline The Parents accept the authority of the Headmaster and of other members of staff on the Headmaster's behalf to take all reasonable disciplinary or preventative action necessary to safeguard and promote the welfare of the Pupil and the School community as a whole. The School's policies on behaviour and discipline current at the time and published on the School website apply to all pupils at the School and at all times when the Pupil is in or at school, (including when engaged in online or remote learning), representing the School or wearing School uniform, travelling to or from School, on School-organised trips or associated with the School at any time.   • Competencies The following competencies apply to this position. The employee will be assessed against these as part of their annual performance and development review.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • Teacher Discipline In the event the District takes a disciplinary action against a teacher, the standard to be applied is whether or not the disciplinary action was for just cause. It is specifically agreed that this section shall not apply to a decision by the Board to terminate a teacher or to not renew the contract of a teacher.

  • Teaching Assistants 1. All Teaching Assistants shall receive the same remuneration per base unit and the difference between the amount paid a Graduate Teaching Assistant and other Teaching Assistants is an associated scholarship. See XIII D. for appropriate compensation.
