Weekend Admissions. Hospital or other inpatient stays in which the patient is admitted on Friday or Saturday or Sunday and receives no active course of treatment over the weekend.
Weekend Admissions a. Unless adequate documentation from the employee’s physician is provided supporting the need for immediate hospital admission beginning on Friday or Saturday, hospital room and board charges for one (1) or both of those weekend days will not be covered.
