WELLBEING AND SAFETY. 9.1 Work Health and Safety in ANZ ANZ has put in place a Wellbeing and Safety Management System (WSMS) to seek to achieve its aims to identify, assess and control factors in the workplace and our operations, which may affect the safety, health, security and well-being of Employees. While the WSMS does not form part of this Agreement, ANZ provides resources, including internal and external expertise, and supporting Policies and Procedures, so that it can seek to achieve its aims.

WELLBEING AND SAFETY. An adult who knows, believes or suspects on reasonable grounds, that a child is suffering, has suffered or is likely to suffer abuse or neglect has a responsibility to take steps to prevent the occurrence or further occurrence of the abuse or neglect. Any person who volunteers or works for an organisation that receives government funding and provides health, welfare, education, childcare or residential services to young people is a mandatory reporter under the Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997. Homes Tasmania and services funded by Homes Tasmania will report any safety and wellbeing concerns of children and young people to DECYP using the Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line on 1800 000 123. Information provided may include: • concerns about physical abuse or unexplained injury to a child • a disclosure of sexual abuse • concerns about emotional abuse impacting on the wellbeing of a child • neglect or lack of appropriate supervision • where a child’s behaviours may place them ‘at risk’ and the parents are unwilling or unable to support or protect the child • where a child appears to have been abandoned and the child has no appropriate caregiver.

  • Child Safety Never leave a child unsupervised near a pool, not even for a second. During social gatherings at or near the pool, appoint a designated adult to protect young children from pool accidents. Children must be watched closely while swimming. Do not use floatation devices as a substitute for supervision. Toys can entice young children into the pool area. When not in use, clear the pool area of all toys.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY Contractor shall perform any and all of its obligations under this Contract in a manner that does not compromise the health and safety of any DSHS client with whom the Contractor has contact.

  • WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY The parties to this Agreement are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace and work practices. The parties recognise that illness or injury at the workplace is costly to the employer and the employees and also disruptive to the respective parties. To facilitate healthy and safe work practices, the parties to the Agreement are committed to discussing health and safety issues as they apply to the operations of the employer as part of the consultative measures under this Agreement. The employer and employees under this agreement may refer to their respective industrial representatives for appropriate advice or expertise in enhancing performance with due regard to health and safety initiatives. The parties also recognise the importance of conducting regular audits of the employer's operations, policies and procedures including the employees' skills, knowledge, qualifications and application of healthy and safe work practices.

  • Work Health and Safety (a) The employer and employee acknowledge their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012.

  • AND SAFETY The Employer and the union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of safety and health in the home, in order to prevent injury and illness. A joint management and employees health and safety committee shall be continued with representation of at least half by employees from the various bargaining units and of employees who are not represented by unions and who do not exercise managerial functions, which shall identify potential dangers, recommend means of improving the health and safety programs and obtaining information from the Employer or other persons respecting the identification of hazards and standards elsewhere. The committee shall normally meet at least once a month. Scheduled time spent in such meetings is to be considered time worked. Minutes shall be taken of all meetings and copies shall be sent to the Employer and the Union. Two representatives of the Joint Health and Safety Committee, one from management and one from the employees on a rotating basis designated by the employees, shall make monthly inspections of the work place and equipment and shall report to the Health and Safety Committee the results of their inspection. In the event of accident or injury, such representatives shall be notified immediately and shall investigate and report as soon as possible to the committee and to the Employer on the nature and causes of the accident or injury. Furthermore, such representatives must be notified of the inspection of a govern- ment inspector and shall have the right to accompany him in his inspections. Scheduled time spent in all such activities shall be considered as time worked. The Joint Health and Safety Committee and the representatives thereof shall have reasonable access to the annual summary of data from The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board relating to the number of work accident fatalities, the number of lost workday cases, the number of lost workdays, the number of non-fatal cases that required medical aide without lost workdays, the incidence of occupational injuries, and such other data, as The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board may decide to disclose. The Union agrees to endeavour to obtain the full co- operation of its membership in the observation of all safety rules and practices. The Employer will use its best efforts to make all affected direct care employees aware of residents who have serious infections diseases. The nature of the disease need not be disclosed. Employees who are not direct care employees will be made aware of special procedures required of them to deal with these circumstances. The parties agree that all employees are aware of the requirement to practice universal precautions in all circumstances. The parties agree that if incidents involving aggressive client action occur, such action will be recorded and reviewed at the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. Reasonable steps within the control of the Employer will follow to address the legitimate health and safety concerns of employees presented in that forum. The parties further agree that suitable subjects for discussion at the joint Labour Management Committee will include aggressive residents.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK The Supplier shall undertake its obligations arising hereunder and in all Contracts in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System or equivalent. Both parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the other party’s employees and agents visiting their premises. The Supplier shall notify the Authority of any use of substances listed under COSHH regulations or the Montreal Protocol in the provision of the Services.

  • Environmental Health and Safety i. Environment, Health and Safety Performance. Seller acknowledges and accepts full and sole responsibility to maintain an environment, health and safety management system ("EMS") appropriate for its business throughout the performance of this Contract. Buyer expects that Seller’s EMS shall promote health and safety, environmental stewardship, and pollution prevention by appropriate source reduction strategies. Seller shall convey the requirement of this clause to its suppliers. Seller shall not deliver goods that contain asbestos mineral fibers.
