Where a Service Express. Attendant is directed to deliver a complimentary item for a guest, he shall be paid a Two Dollar and Fifty Cent ($2.50) gratuity per complimentary item on and after ratification of this Agreement. The parties agree that this Article shall be interpreted or applied to complimentary "items" not complimentary "deliveries". This means, for example, that if a plate of cheese and a bottle of wine are delivered, the parties agree this will be two items. On the other hand, things such as a plate of cheese, a fruit basket, a box of cookies, etc., will be one item each. Other examples of single items are several coca-colas, several bottles of wines, etc. The parties further agrees that there shall be no claim for retroactivity in connection with this matter. The Union agrees that there shall be no more issues raised regarding the 1990 Collection Agreement with respect to the above.
