Temporary Reassignments. If it is necessary to reassign an employee from their continuing work location to another work location for more than three (3) days, the most senior (University seniority) volunteer among qualified employees who are at work on the work location shall be reassigned. If there are no volunteers, the least senior (University seniority) qualified employee at work on the work location shall be reassigned. Temporary reassignments made in accordance with this section shall not exceed six (6) months in duration.

Temporary Reassignments. When the duties of a vacant position are reassigned to other staff members on a temporary basis and such assignment will exceed ten (10) consecutive working days, the reassignment of the specific duties will be made in writing to affected employee(s) with copies to the Union Chief Shop Xxxxxxx and the Director of Human Resource Services. The employee(s) affected by the reassignment of duties shall be paid at the salary range which represents a two–step increase over the salary received immediately prior or more as determined by the College, and such increase shall be effective with the first day duties are assigned. Such time shall be excluded from consideration for position reallocation requests.
Temporary Reassignments. A. An employee who is temporarily assigned to perform the duties of a classification with a pay range higher than his or her own shall, be eligible for a temporary pay adjustment to the lowest step in the pay range for the new grade or classification which shall increase the employee’s salary. B. An employee will be considered to perform the duties of a higher classification when he or she performs substantially all of the duties of the classification for the entire shift. C. In no event shall an employee’s pay be reduced in the event of a temporary reassignment. This section does not apply to a demotion, reduction, suspension, or layoff. D. Reassignment shall be made on the basis of seniority.
Temporary Reassignments. An employee temporarily reassigned as a result of the temporary suspension of an operation will only be offered overtime in the position to which the employee has been reassigned after all available qualified employees on the signup sheets have been asked.
Temporary Reassignments. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the Personnel Department from making reasonable temporary reassignments when the unit member's salary and benefits are not affected. A classified unit member who has permanent status and who is assigned to a lower classification for the convenience of the District shall not receive a change in salary for the period of temporary assignment. If, at the end of the fiscal year, the unit member chooses to remain permanently in the lower classification, the unit member's request will be considered a voluntary demotion and the necessary salary adjustments will be made effective the first working day in the new fiscal year. Temporary Reassignments. When an employee is reassigned to another department to work in a classification for which he is qualified and able, on account of an emergency situation for a period of no longer than two (2) hours, the employee shall receive his/her own rate or the rate of the job to which he or she is assigned, whichever is the higher, for all hours worked in the assigned position. It is agreed that employees will not be temporarily transferred between gratuity and non-gratuity positions.
Temporary Reassignments. If the operating requirements of a 6 unit require employees to be temporarily reassigned from their normal schedule, 7 volunteers will be solicited. If there are no volunteers, the least senior qualified 8 employee will be reassigned. If an employee is reassigned from his or her 9 normal schedule pursuant to this provision, the employee will be returned to his 10 or her former schedule when the operating requirements that caused 11 reassignment no longer apply.

Temporary Reassignments. (a) Staff may be reassigned: i. to fill an unforeseen temporary vacancy, or ii. for an unforeseen temporary increase in workload, or iii. to fill a vacancy resulting from an initial temporary posted vacancy, or iv. to fill a temporary vacancy under eighty (80) working days, or v. to learn new knowledge, skills and abilities within their work group. Program heads will communicate reassignment opportunities to all employees within their work unit, and will make reasonable efforts to distribute those opportunities equitably. If it is not possible to fill the opportunity from within the work unit, the program head may fill it in an alternative manner. If reassignments under i, ii and v are expected to exceed xxxxxx (80) working days, they will be declared a temporary vacancy and filled in accordance with Article 5.05. The position will be posted when it is determined that the need for the reassignment will exceed eighty (80) working days. The reassignment will end no later than the date that the successful qualified candidate starts. Reassignments under iii may not be posted as outlined in Article 5.05.
