Reporting Sick. Regular Employees reporting sick shall do so to the Employer as soon as possible in order that a replacement may be arranged for or duties re-distributed. Failing to do so, the Regular Employee shall be considered absent without leave and the Employer may make a deduction in pay for the time which expires between the time the Regular Employee should have reported for work and the time at which the Regular Employee reported.

Reporting Sick. 1 Employees are obliged to notify the employer as soon as possible if they are prevented from performing their work due to illness or disability.
Reporting Sick. I-1 Employees reporting sick will observe the following procedure: (a) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify their immediate supervisor before leaving their duties. (b) Where the illness or accident takes place at times other than the employee's normal working hours, the employee will notify her or his immediate supervisor or designate, as soon as possible but in any event, not less than one (1) hour prior to the day shift and four (4) hours for all other shifts. (c) Prior to resuming work, following sick leave, the employee will provide reasonable notice to her or his nursing unit.

Such medical certificate must be presented upon returning to work. The Hotel agrees to administer this clause to deal with employees who have a history of excessive absences. (d) When an employee has not been working because of illness, leave of absence of any other reason, it shall be his responsibility to arrange with the Hotel for his or her return to work prior to his or her intended date of return.

Employees will not be required to supply a doctor’s note for a one (1) day absence except in suspected cases of sick leave abuse. (d) when an employee has not been working because of illness, leave of absence or any other causes, it shall be his or her responsibility to arrange with the Employer for his or her return to work prior to his or her intended date of return. (e) Where an employee has been frequently absent or absent for a lengthy period of time, or where the Employer has cause to question a medical certificate provided by the employee, the employee shall be examined by a physician mutually agreed to by both. Where the Employer and the employee do not agree on a physician to conduct the examination, the examination shall be conducted by a physician designated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. The Employer shall pay the cost of the examination. A copy of the physician's report shall be provided to both the Employer and the employee.

Reporting Sick. K.01 An employee will observe the following procedure: (a) Employees taking ill or suffering an accident during working hours, will notify the Program Manager, or a person designated by the Program Manager, before the employee leaves her or his duties to report to Health Services. (b) When the illness or accident takes place at a time other than the employee's normal hours, the employee will notify the Program Manager or a staff member on the nursing unit at least one (1) hour prior to the day tour and where practical or possible, at least four (4) hours for all other tours.

Reporting Sick. A bus or train operator who is unable to report for duty because of illness or injury shall make a proper report to that effect to his or her Transportation Supervisor, in the case of train operators the Transportation Supervisor or Station Clerk not later than one-half (1/2) hour, before his or her report time. If an operator so reports, he or she will be excused and marked "sick", and the following procedure will apply: (a) A bus or train operator reporting sick before 12:30 P.M., who is scheduled to work on the next calendar day following the day on which he or she reports sick and who expects to be able to return to work on said next calendar day, must not later than 12:30 P.M., on the day on 12-23(b) A bus or train operator reporting sick after 12:30 P.M., who is scheduled to work on the next calendar day following the day on which he or she reports sick and who expects to be able to return to work on said next calendar day, must at the time he or she makes his or her sick report, notify his or her Operations Manager, Transportation Supervisor or Station Clerk, of his or her intention to return to work the next day.
