WORK CLOTHES. The employer shall provide all necessary work clothes (coveralls, work shoes or equivalent, and insulated coveralls, winter coveralls and rain gear as needed), as well as safety equipment, including personal safety gear. Work clothes and safety gear provided by the company are the property of the company. When a new set of work clothes is provided, the worn set shall be handed in. Used safety equipment as mentioned above shall be properly cleaned before being reissued.
WORK CLOTHES. The funds allotted to protective work clothing shall continue. The City shall continue to provide all hand tools for roofers. The following terms in this Appendix apply only to employees represented by Sheet Metal Workers International Union, Local 104.
WORK CLOTHES. At the discretion of management, specific employees may be required to wear identified work clothes and/or protective safety gear. When such a decision is made, the identified work clothes and/or protective safety gear shall be at the expense of the District. Any maintenance and cleaning of the work clothes shall be at the expense of the employee. Work clothes and/or protective safety gear shall only be used during on duty time. Any work clothes and/or protective safety gear shall be returned to the District upon resignation, layoff or discharge.
WORK CLOTHES. Section 1. The Employer, after consultation with the Union, shall provide protective clothing for those employees whose working conditions require such.
WORK CLOTHES. (i) It is agreed that the present arrangement in respect to overalls, shirts, smocks, and gloves will be continued for the duration of this Agreement.
(ii) An employee, as a condition of employment, shall be required to wear safety footwear. The safety footwear is to be leather or rubber, steel toed, non-slip and C.S.A. approved.
(iii) It is agreed that, the company will establish a program for footwear that will provide employees with a selection of boots from which they can choose. Employees will be able to replace worn footwear from this selection by following the process established by the Company. All employees are expected to provide reasonable care in relation to Company-provided footwear.
(iv) The Company has implemented a laundry program for the cleaning of Company work clothes for warehouse and production personnel. This program was implemented for sanitation requirements as work clothes are, as is the present case for safety footwear, to remain on the premises at all times.
(v) Employees working in the maintenance area are expected to provide for their own basic tool requirements. The Company agrees to provide specialized tools or equipment needed by such employees to perform their normal duties (which tools shall remain the property of the
WORK CLOTHES. All inside employees shall be provided with (at no cost to them) clean uniforms, coveralls or smocks, whichever is applicable, as well as gloves, to those requiring same. These clean clothes will be supplied no less than once a week.
WORK CLOTHES. Five (5) sets of work clothes for all employees under this Agreement will be supplied by the Authority.
WORK CLOTHES. Shipping companies shall buy work clothes for engineers.
WORK CLOTHES. The Employer shall provide to each employee, free of charge, with the following:
(i) One (1) pair of coveralls each week, to be serviced by a firm having an agreement with the Teamsters Union.
(ii) The Employer will provide at his expense wet suits, hats and gloves to those employees requiring same to properly perform their jobs. Employees using such rain gear will be responsible as set out in Company regulations. The care of the above clothing and also equipment and tools furnished by the Company to individual employees shall be the responsibility of that employee, damage to or loss through the employee's carelessness may be subject to disciplinary action. In the case of "dirty jobs" the Employer will provide as many coveralls as are required. The employees shall clean "wet suits" on the job site unless otherwise instructed. Gloves will be replaced when required. Employees shall wash and dry gloves so they can be re-used.
