Common use of Work Day – Work Period Clause in Contracts

Work Day – Work Period. (A) The state will make a good faith effort not to require an employee to split a workday into two or more segments without the agreement of the employee and the employer. The state will also make a good faith effort to schedule the work of an employee in a manner to minimize the extension of the employee’s workday beyond its scheduled hours, recognizing that such extensions may be necessary to address emergencies or to conserve staffing or other resources, as determined by the state.
