Common use of Work Periods Clause in Contracts

Work Periods. A work period shall consist of either: 1) five (5) consecutive normal workdays with the following two days off; or 2) any combination of scheduled normal workdays and days off which during a maximum period of eight (8) weeks, averages the number of normal workdays and days off per week upon which wages are based, provided that in any work period provided for herein, a day off shall mean at least twenty-four (24) consecutive hours off duty.
