Common use of Work-Related Disability, Injury, or Illness Clause in Contracts

Work-Related Disability, Injury, or Illness. Safety employees who suffer a work-related disability, injury, or illness may be eligible for "4850" time for up to 1 year after the date of disability, injury, or illness. Temporary disability payments and/or LTD benefits may also be available after a 1- year waiting period from the date of disability, injury, or illness subject to approval of the application for coverage submitted by the employee. In no event, however, shall a safety employee suffering from a work-related disability, injury, or illness be eligible for LTD benefits until the 1-year waiting period has expired or concurrently collect LTD benefits and "4850" time benefits.
