Work Scheduling, Breaks, & Overtime. (a) The University and the Union recognize that the nature of Cultural Assistant work requires that they work intermittently throughout the day and/or evening in order to carry out their responsibilities. (b) Cultural Assistants may be required to work up to twelve (12) hours in a day, averaging forty (40) hours in a week over a two (2) to four (4) week period, without being paid overtime. (c) Cultural Assistants will be scheduled a minimum of ten (10) consecutive hours of rest during any twenty-four (24) hour period and will be provided sufficient breaks during their work period.
