Working on a County-Observed Holiday. If an employee is required to work on a County- observed holiday which falls on the employee’s regularly scheduled workday, one of the following shall occur: a. The employee shall be compensated for the holiday at the straight-time rate and shall be compensated at the time and one-half (1-1/2) overtime rate for hours worked; or b. The employee shall be compensated for hours worked on the holiday at the straight- time rate and shall take an alternative day off within the calendar year.
