Written Notice to Affected Teachers. The Board shall give written notice to any teachers affected by the required staff reduction on or before May 1 of that academic year. The reasons for the reduction of teaching staff shall be stated in the notice. The notice shall also inform the teacher of his/her right to appeal the decision of the Board through the due process procedure for contract termination, pursuant to K.S.A. 1975 Supp. 72-5436 et. Seq.
